THE PERMANENT EQUIPMENT GUIDE

Mobile screening plants

Turn a stockpile into defined material streams.

Mobile screening plants separate suitable feed into selected fractions. Feed condition, contamination and the required output determine whether on-site processing is practical.

SELECTION / SCOPE / HANDOVER

Before choosing the equipment

Describe the stockpile, available space and intended destination for each output. Ask how loaders, conveyors and stockpiles will be arranged without blocking site traffic.

What belongs in the quote

Agree acceptance criteria, testing and responsibility for rejects. Include mobilisation, setup, operating support and site cleanup in the comparison with off-site processing.

Think about the surrounding work

Identify the information, power, water or material flow that supports the main excavation operation. Assign responsibility for setup, checks and records. Support equipment should be planned around site access and the next trade so that a useful machine does not become a bottleneck or leave an undocumented handover.

Three questions for your contractor

  1. What feed assumptions support the proposal?
  2. How is each output accepted?
  3. Who manages rejects and cleanup?

Bring a useful project brief

Bring site photographs, access measurements, available drawings and a description of the finished result. Identify what is known about the ground and existing services, and distinguish confirmed information from assumptions. Ask for written inclusions, exclusions, change procedures and handover records before comparing totals.

Equipment selection and the work method need a qualified contractor familiar with the site. This guide helps frame the brief; it does not replace manufacturer instructions, site assessment or engineering.
