Jaw crushers
A primary crushing category for reducing feed before later processing. Describe the largest incoming pieces, variable feed and any reinforcement or contamination. Ask how feeding and removal will be balanced with the rest of the site.
Cone & impact crushers
These are different crushing approaches, not interchangeable names. Compare the proposed process against the material and finished-product specification, including the handling of fines and unsuitable feed.
Scalping screens & trommels
Screening separates material into streams. Ask which fractions are useful, where oversize and fines go, and how moisture or contamination will affect the proposed arrangement.
Stacking conveyors & feeders
Transfer and storage equipment determines how many times material is handled. Map the feed point, stockpiles, loading access and changes as stockpiles grow.
Washing & recycling systems
Washing introduces a water-management task as well as a materials task. Define water supply, recovery, residues and the acceptance requirements for the recovered product.
Define the complete scope
Ask for the proposed machine configuration, delivery arrangements, supporting equipment, material handling and finished result in writing. Separate confirmed site information from assumptions, and agree how changed conditions will be documented and priced.
Questions before comparing proposals
- What finished material is specified?
- Who tests and accepts the output?
- Where do rejected material and residues go?
